As  a professional dream analyst and victim of  incest the author discribes in this book how her collected dreams showed her the truth, about the sexual abuse in her childhood by a family member.  A truth that has lain dormant for years, until the memories resurfaced.

The life story  told alternates with descriptions of dreams from before and during the proces. The reader gets an insight in basic method of dream analysis, based on the ideas of Carl Gustav Jung. The book shows how dreams can show you the way to recognition of a deep trauma, and it will ‘come in your consciousness’ in small fragments, but never more then you can handle. The book describes also how much effort the search for the truth costs, how others react and how big the taboo on incest still is.
